Blow Molding Machine
Our blow molding machines are engineered for the efficient and precise production of PET containers, offering versatility, reliability, and seamless integration into your packaging line.
Working Principle
The process begins with a PET preform, which is evenly heated and softened by an infrared heating system. The heated preform is then transferred to a blow mold. High-pressure air is injected, causing the preform to expand and take the exact shape of the mold’s interior. Through controlled cooling and shaping, the final, durable bottle is formed.
Core Components
Each machine integrates key systems for consistent operation: a preform heating system, preform conveyor, precision blow mold, stretch blow molding unit, cooling system (with chiller), and a complete air supply system (compressor, storage tank, dryer, and filters).
Customization & Flexibility
We specialize in custom mold design, enabling you to produce bottles in virtually any shape. By simply changing the mold, a single machine can manufacture a wide variety of container types, providing exceptional production flexibility.

Auxiliary System Configuration
For optimal operation, the blow molding machine requires supporting auxiliary equipment, connected in the following sequence:
Air Line: Air Compressor → Air Receiver Tank → Air Filter → Refrigerated Air Dryer → (Final) Air Filter → Blow Molding Machine.
Cooling Line: Water Chiller → Blow Molding Machine.
Auxiliary Equipment Functions:
Air Compressor: Generates the high-pressure air (25-40 bar) needed to inflate preforms. Oil-free models are recommended to prevent contamination.
Air Receiver Tank: Stabilizes air pressure, ensures a continuous supply, and reduces compressor cycling.
Air Filter: Purifies compressed air by removing particles, oil aerosols, and moisture to protect the machine and ensure bottle quality.
Refrigerated Air Dryer: Cools the air to condense and remove water vapor, achieving a low dew point (≤2°C) to prevent bottle defects.
Water Chiller: Circulates chilled water (5-15°C) to rapidly cool the blow molds, solidifying the PET into its final shape with precise temperature control.

Heat-Resistant Bottle Blow Molding Machine
Working Process
The machine consists of a preform oven and a main blow molding unit. The operation follows a clear, repeatable cycle:
Loading: An operator manually places PET preforms onto the seats in the rotary oven.
Heating: The preforms rotate through the oven, where they are evenly softened by internal heating tubes.
Transfer: The operator manually transfers the heated preforms to the blow molding station and positions them on the mold.
Forming: Upon pressing a button, the machine automatically closes the mold, injects high-pressure air, and forms the bottle.
Unloading: The operator then manually removes the finished bottles from the mold.
Control & Adjustment
Key parameters are easily adjustable to optimize production:
Heating Temperature: Controlled via the oven's adjustment system.
Blowing Time: Set using the machine's touch-screen interface.
Optimal settings for temperature and blow time are determined through testing. We pre-set these parameters at the factory based on your specified preform. Should you change to preforms of a different weight, the optimal settings will differ and will require recalibration through testing.
Customization & Flexibility
We offer full custom mold design, allowing you to create bottles in virtually any shape. A significant advantage of this machine is its versatility: by simply changing the mold, you can produce multiple bottle types and sizes on a single unit.

Heat-Resistant Bottle Blow Molding Machine
This specialized machine is engineered for the production of heat-resistant PET bottles. Compared to conventional blow molding machines, it integrates a mold temperature controller that heats the mold. The bottles are formed under elevated temperature and then rapidly cooled using a high-capacity air dryer. This process enables the production of bottles suitable for filling high-temperature liquids, such as hot-filled juices.
The preforms used for these bottles are heavier, and the finished bottles typically feature reinforcing rib lines and small surface protrusions, which significantly enhance structural stability and pressure resistance.
Investment Note: The heat-resistant bottle blow molding machine is priced 60–80% higher than standard models. Additionally, the cost of the specialized heat-resistant preforms and caps is also greater.
I. Material Differences
| Characteristic | Heat-Resistant PET Bottle | Ordinary PET Bottle |
|---|---|---|
| Resin Raw Material | High-heat-resistant copolyester (e.g., Eastman TRITAN™) | Standard PET homopolyester (IPA content < 2%) |
| Glass Transition Temp. (Tg) | 85 – 120°C | 70 – 80°C |
| Crystallinity | Higher, optimized by heat setting | Lower, prone to thermal shrinkage and deformation |
II. Equipment Structure Upgrades
| Module | Heat-Resistant Blow Molding Machine | Ordinary Blow Molding Machine |
|---|---|---|
| Heating System | Infrared + Microwave, temp. uniformity ±1°C | Standard infrared, temp. diff. ±5°C |
| Mold Material | Beryllium copper alloy (380 W/mK) + nano-coating | Ordinary aluminum mold (160 W/mK) |
| Clamping Force | ≥80 tons (prevents high-temp. mold expansion) | 30 – 50 tons |
| Cooling System | Dual-circuit chilled water (5–10°C) | Single-circuit cooling water (15–25°C) |
Material Cost: Heat-resistant PET raw material costs 20–30% more than standard grade.
Energy Consumption: The high-temperature process increases energy usage by approximately 35% due to greater heating and cooling demands.
Equipment Investment: Heat-resistant models are priced about 1.5 to 2 times higher than ordinary machines, due to:
Special alloy molds
Precision temperature-control systems
Reinforced mechanical structure

Semi-Automatic 10-20L (5-Gallon) Blow Molding Machine
This single-cavity, semi-automatic machine, also known as a 5-gallon bucket blow molding machine, produces large PET water containers at a rate of up to 120 buckets per hour. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a dedicated 5-gallon water filling line.
Handle Integration (Optional):
To produce buckets with handles, separate PE handles are required. During the blowing process, the handle is first placed into a dedicated slot within the mold. The heated preform is then positioned, resulting in a bucket with the handle securely and permanently fused into its structure.
Automation & Material Options:
We also offer a fully Automatic 5-Gallon Bucket Blow Molding Machine, priced between $50,000 - $60,000 USD.
Important Material Note:
This machine is designed specifically for PET buckets. It cannot produce PC (polycarbonate) buckets.
PC buckets require a different type of blow molding machine, with an approximate price range of $60,000 - $100,000 USD.
PET vs. PC Material Comparison:
PC Buckets: Are more robust and have a longer lifespan. However, they contain Bisphenol A (BPA). When filled with hot water, BPA can leach out, which is a known health concern. Leaching is relatively minimal when used with room-temperature water.
PET Buckets: Do not contain BPA, making them a safer choice for potable water storage across a range of temperatures.
An automatic blow molding machine can be seamlessly connected to a filling machine via an air conveyor system. In this configuration, the newly blown bottles are conveyed directly to the bottle washing, filling, and capping section. Compared to using a semi-automatic blow molding machine, this integrated method requires less labor and achieves significantly higher overall efficiency. If you do not have an integrated blow molding machine, the alternative is to connect a bottle unscrambler before the filling machine. In this setup, you would pour loose empty bottles into the unscrambler, which automatically arranges them in an orderly sequence. The bottles are then conveyed to the filling machine through the same air conveyor system.

Automatic 0–2L Blow Molding Machine
We offer a range of high-performance automatic models including 2-cavity, 4-cavity, 6-cavity, and 8-cavity configurations. As a general rule, more cavities enable faster production speeds.
Our automatic blow molding machines are equipped with advanced servo motors and servo control systems, ensuring energy-efficient and highly efficient operation.
Please note: For automatic machines, the actual production speed is also determined by the size and weight of the bottles. Heavier bottles with thicker walls require a longer blowing time per cycle, which reduces overall speed.
To recommend the most suitable machine model, we require the following details:
The weight of the preforms you will use.
The size (dimensions) of the bottles you want to produce.
Your target blowing speed or hourly output.

High-Speed Blow Molding Machine
Our high-speed blow molding machines deliver exceptional output, with speeds ranging from 12,000 to 50,000 bottles per hour (bph). We offer customizable rotary high-speed models. Furthermore, we can integrate a high-speed blow molding machine with a filling and capping machine to create a unified Blow-Fill-Cap (BFC) Integrated System.
There are two primary methods for producing PET cans:
Direct Blow Molding Method: Utilizing a dedicated PET can blow molding machine.
Two-Step Production Method: Employing a PET bottle blow molding machine followed by a can cutting machine.

Please check the video of Please check the video of Automatic PET can blow molding machine:https://youtu.be/KFqx3hZO2BU
Direct Blow Molding Method with an Automatic PET Can Blow Molding Machine
This method requires dedicated can preforms. The process involves manually placing the can preforms onto the conveyor or inverting them onto the preform seats. The preforms then pass through a heating tunnel. Once softened by the heat, they are transferred to the mold where they are blown into finished cans.
The primary limitation of this approach is that the blow molding machine is designed exclusively for can production and cannot be used to manufacture bottles.

Please check the video of two – step production method with a PET bottle blow molding machine and a can cutting machine:https://youtu.be/pct_qlB7ioA
Two-Step Production Method with a PET Bottle Blow Molding Machine and a Can Cutting Machine
This versatile method utilizes a standard PET bottle blow molding machine as the first step. The machine forms preforms into complete bottles, which are then transferred to a precision cutting machine. The cutting machine removes the upper portion of these bottles, resulting in finished PET cans.
The key to this process is a specially designed mold for the blow molding machine (as illustrated in our technical diagrams). The blow molding machine can be an automatic model, seamlessly connected to the cutting machine via an air conveyor system for a continuous production flow.
A significant advantage of this approach is flexibility: by simply changing the molds, the same blow molding machine can also produce a wide variety of standard bottles, maximizing your equipment's utility and value.
